FREEDOM OF INFORMATION REQUEST

Thank you for your recent request received by the Council on 3 May 2022.

You have requested the following information under the provisions of the
Freedom of Information Act 2000:

- The typical cost that would be charged to a member of the public, for a
care home, per week, procured by the council (assuming no
reliefs/discounts applicable). Please could you tell me the weekly price
for residential care, nursing care and nursing care with dementia. For
each pls can you itemise seperately the personal care element.

- The typical cost that would be charged to a member of the public, for an
hour of home care procured by the council (assuming no reliefs/discounts
applicable). Please could you itemise seperately the personal care element
if one exists.

 Our response is as follows:

Question:  The typical cost that would be charged to a member of the
public, for a care home, per week, procured by the council (assuming no
reliefs/discounts applicable). Please could you tell me the weekly price
for residential care, nursing care and nursing care with dementia. For

Answer:
Care home rates for older people excluding partial payments, top ups and
FNC:
Our Learning Disability Average Care Home Fee is £1,588.36
Our Mental Health Average Care Home Fee is £772.01
We are unable to break these fees down into direct care and hotel costs
because that piece of work is in progress. 
Question: - The typical cost that would be charged to a member of the
public, for an hour of home care procured by the council (assuming no
reliefs/discounts applicable). Please could you itemise seperately the
personal care element if one exists.
Answer: Our current rate for an hour of homecare is £19.72
There is no separate itemisation for personal care.
