response below for your information.
Response to FOI 11141
• The typical cost that would be charged to a member of the public, for
a care home, per week, procured by the council (assuming no
reliefs/discounts applicable). Please could you tell me the weekly
price for residential care, nursing care and nursing care with
dementia. For each pls can you itemise separately the personal care
element.
For care homes there is no typical cost and is based on assessment of need
and individual circumstances of the care home/service user. We do not
separate out personal care from the overall cost.
• The typical cost that would be charged to a member of the public, for
an hour of home care procured by the council (assuming no
reliefs/discounts applicable). Please could you itemise separately
the personal care element if one exists.
For Home Care the typical chargeable rate currently would be £16 per hour,
we do not disaggregate what the money is for.
