Effects of HSMP rulling

Dear UK Border Agency,

Thanks for your quick response here. i will like to know the following;

1) A Work permit holder who came into UK in October 2005 benefit from the ruling?

2) Whether dependant of such person who came in 2006 also benefit from this independent of main applicant.

Dear Ms Oto

Thank you for your query regarding the HSMP High Court judgments. These
judgments were based on specific declarations made in the HSMP
application guidance that those entering the programme would not be
effected by the subsequent changes to it. There were no similar
declarations made in relation to the other employment routes such as
Work permits. As such, work permit holders are not covered by the
judgment.

In terms of dependants, only those who are in the UK as the dependant of
someone covered by the judgment will benefit from the policies put in
place.
