Dear Home Office,

We sent joint paper application by post for EEA (PR) and Non- EEA(PR) (spouse) on 19th of September 2017 by Special Delivery. It has been delivered to HO on 20th of September 2017.

We have not received any Confirmation Email yet though. It has been two weeks.

Where shall I email/write to request this Confirmation Email?

Many thanks

Yours faithfully,
Alena Mironenka

UK Visas and Immigration,

Dear Alena Mironenka,

Thank you for your enquiry dated 3rd October regarding acknowledgement of
an EEA (PR) application.

An acknowledgement email or letter is not always sent out, however if you
did send the applications via recorded delivery then it will be signed for
which will indicate to yourself the application as been received.

Also, if the payment was made via a traceable method such as a debit or
credit card payment, the payment being deducted would also be proof of the
application being processed.

For the non-EEA National. a biometrics enrolment letter will be issued
within the first 4-6 weeks of the application which will provide the
applicant with a case ID and a Home Office reference number.

Please note the onus is upon individual customers to ensure that they
satisfy the requirements set out in the guidance material. The guidance
material accompanies each and every application form. UK Visas and
Immigration is not able to give, indicate or advise upon the outcome of
any such application prior to it being given full and careful
consideration.

Directing you to the guidance material is the only advice we can give you.
If you need any further help you should seek independent immigration
advice. Immigration advisers can help you with immigration matters,
including completion of forms and representing you at a tribunal. The
Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC) regulates
immigration advisers, which mean they must meet certain standards.

Dear Jessica Micher,

Thank you very much for fast reply and the information provided.

Actually we did receive the Confirmation emails yesterday afternoon after I sent my FOI request - I don't know whether these two events are connected.

Many thanks anyway!

Yours sincerely,

Alena Mironenka
