EEA2 Processing Times

H. Williamson made this Freedom of Information request to UK Border Agency

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was partially successful.

Dear UK Border Agency,

I would like to request up to date information about the processing times of EEA2 applications. In earlier replies to the question you have refered to your website. However, your website does not give any information about processing times apart from a general statement of efforts to speed up the process. Please inform me about average processing times in the last 12 months and the share of applications which took longer than 6 months.
Secondly, given the EU directive obliging the UK government to issue a residence card to family members of EU nationals within 6 months please advise applicants on how to proceed after the 6 months have lapsed.
Thirdly, I would like to request information about whether or not the applicant and the sponsor are able to travel within the EU while the application is pending.

Yours faithfully,

H. Williamson
