Thank you for your Freedom of Information request dated 5 July 2023 for information about Education Penalty Notices. Please find below City of Doncaster Council’s responses to the questions you have raised.

1. How many Education Penalty Notices relating to attendances have been issued so far for the 2022/2023 school year in secondary education for Doncaster schools?
Response: 1650

2. What percentage of those resulted in a penalty being paid?
Response: Currently 63%, there are cases that have not yet reached their deadlines that will result in payment.

3. What percentage of those resulted in a hearing at the Magistrates Court?
Response: 6.5%

4. How many were withdrawn?
Response: 40
