The request was successful.

Dear Isle of Anglesey Council,

Of this could you please tell me how many children have special education or educational treatments/therapy out of county on a residential basis, please also include any child that uses lodgings if this is also out of county.

Yours faithfully,

Dear MARGARET OWEN,

You have not answered the other half of my question "could you please tell me how many children have special education or educational treatments/therapy out of county on a residential basis, please also include any child that uses lodgings if this is also out of county"

Yours sincerely,

Miss K Williams

MARGARET OWEN,

I apologise for not responding to you e-mail sooner and also for note
fully answering your FOI request. I've spoken with the relevant officer
within the Education Department and they have provided the following
information:

There are 9 children out of county on a residential basis (8
residential and 1 using lodgings).

I hope this information fully answers your FOI request.

If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of this response to your

Miss K Williams

Dear MARGARET OWEN,

Does this imply that the child using lodgings should not be considered as being in a residential placement.

I know that lodgings otherwise than at a school is mentioned in the Education Act and must ask you to revise you answer as I believe all 9 children are out of County in a residential placement no matter where the sleep.

I look forward to your reply.

Yours sincerely,

Miss K Williams

MARGARET OWEN,

Dear Ms Williams
I would reiterate that there are 9 children out of county " on a
residential basis" as demonstrated in my last response to you. However,
there is a need to note that 1 child stays in lodgings and is not
actually "resident" at the school.

I consider that we have now exhausted this issue and have satisfied our
statutory duty to provide you with reasonable advice and assistance.
Since the Council has nothing further to add I would consider that this
matter is now closed.

Yours sincerely
