Dear Department for Education,

It appears all of the email details have been blanked out - could you possibly email me directly with the completed spreadsheet.

Yours faithfully,

Clare Howard

I suspect this is a firewall issue the Clare's end. The email addresses are on the extract of data we sent, but this has happened with previous extracts, where a Firewall will remove any electronic information such as email addresses or hyperlinks.

I am happy to send it again but the same will happen if Clare doesn't sort the firewall issue out with her technical team

The firewall issue is much more likely to be at the DfE end as I see that all emails appear to be stripped to me too.

Has the DfE checked the data that they are trying to upload BEFORE they upload it, and again once it has been uploaded?

Dear Ms Howard,
Thank you for your email dated 22nd October about Edubase Queries.

I have resent the original document that was issued last week, after
confirming the email addresses are included on the file in column R

If you receive this without the emails, please check with your technical
team to determine if some sort of firewall is blocking or deleting the
emails from the file.
Your correspondence has been allocated reference number 2012/0069949. If
you need to respond to us, please visit [1]www.education.gov.uk/contactus,
and quote your reference number.

Dear Department for Education,

I have contacted our IT department and they assure me that the firewall issue will not block the email addresses from the data sheet.

Could you please send data as an email attachment rather than upload it straight to the site as this may well be causing this issue.

Yours faithfully,

Clare Howard

Do you have an alternative email address to send the file to please?  I
have had a few similar issues where email addresses on extracts have been
amended, via the What Do They Know website, so I am suspecting the problem
lies with a firewall on that website.

I am happy tosend the data again via another email to check all is well

The WhatDoTheyKnow.com website removes email addresses from responses and notes where this has occurred. Our policy on this is described at:

http://www.whatdotheyknow.com/help/offic...

The original response from the department included email addresses, for the schools.
