Dear Mrs McIntosh

Subject: Invoices - EBS - 2009-2010

Thank you for your correspondence of 25.09.12

Under the legislation an applicant has a right of review if they are
unhappy with how their request has been handled or answered. In this
instance, I consider your latest correspondence highlighting our failure
to answer your request within the statutory timescale to be a request for
review.

In this regard, I am very sorry that you did not receive a response to
your request with the 20 working day timescale allowed under the
legislation. This is due to the high volume and complexity of requests
which are currently being received and processed by the Property
Conservation Service. The volume of requests continues to rise and the
service is systematically working through the backlog of requests as
quickly as possible.

I can confirm that the Council will deal with your review promptly under
the provisions of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002. You will
receive a full response no later than 20 working days upon receipt of your
request.

If you are not content with the outcome of the review, you can ask the
Scottish Information Commissioner to review our decision. You must submit
your complaint to the Commissioner within 6 months of receiving our review
response. The Commissioner can be contacted at:

The Office of the Scottish Information Commissioner

Fax: 01334 464611

In the meantime, if you have any further queries, please get in touch
quoting the above reference number.

Yours sincerely
