Dear Magdalene College, Cambridge,

Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I kindly request you to release the statistics for Economics undergraduate applicants for the 2017, 2018, and 2019 UCAS cycles (i.e. the last 3 cycles), listing separately in a table format:

*A Level Subjects offered by each applicant
*Predicted performance in the A Levels
*Actual performance in the A Levels (if possible)
*GCSE results of each applicant
*Whether the applicant was invited to interview
*Individual score for each interview
*Admission assessment scores (TSA)
*Whether they were offered a place, pooled or rejected
*Whether the applicant is from an independent, grammar or comprehensive school (or overseas)

Yours faithfully,

Kathryn Gee,

Dear [Name Removed],

We have received your Freedom of Information request regarding Economics
admissions statistics.

We do not hold all of the information you request. Other than  for the
current admissions round (2019) we only hold information on those
applicants who have been successful in obtaining a place at Magdalene. We
hold information for successful candidates for each year.

In addition, under section 40(2) of the Act (data protection) we are
unable to provide the information in the form you request - in a  table
with the data for each candidate listed separately – as this would risk
revealing the personal data of individuals. Instead, we can provide
unlinked data, grouped for 2019 under those offered a place and those
rejected, in response to each of your queries.

If you would still like to receive the limited data that we hold, please
submit a revised request in line with the advice above.

Kind regards

Kathryn

Dear Kathryn Gee,

Please could you give me the information for the successful applicants (other than 2019 where you say you can give information on all applicants)? Please provide this as unlinked data, grouped for 2019 under those offered a place and those rejected.

In short, please provide something that you think is as close as you could get to my original request.

Yours sincerely,
