Economic impact of Syria strike

Stephen Cockburn made this Freedom of Information request to HM Treasury This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, HM Treasury should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Her Majesty’s Treasury,

1. What economic impact assessments have been made about the consequences of any US, British or French military strike on Syria? Please share any official documents or correspondance relating to this matter.

2. What actions are being recommended across Government to mitigate the economic consequences of any military action?

3. Are oil prices anticipated to rise in the event of any strike, and what measures are being taken to minimise the impact of any such rise?

Yours faithfully,

Stephen Cockburn
