Dear Mr Thurlow,

Thank you for your request for information. Please find the response to your query below.

1. The age of the current building on EDDC owned land at Heathpark Honiton,and its current ownership.

The building is owned by EDDC. It was originally built in 1998 and extended in 2001.

2. The condition of the existing building

The condition is typical of a building of that type and age. It is a building in full operation so maintained in the normal way.

3. It's current tenants and the number of EDDC employees stationed there

In the reception office we currently employ one full time and two part time members of staff. Our tenants are made up of the following businesses / organisations:

4. The funding sources of the original building and the amounts contributed by various bodies,with a note of any restrictions on its subsequent use and determination

Construction costs for first phase was in the region of £500K + VAT and second phase £350K + VAT

5. Any legal restrictions on its use and disposal at the time of funding

The building was consented for construction in a B1 office use and any move from that would require planning permission.

Thank you for your email.

 

Our accounting records show we received £145,826.63 government assistance
from South West Regional Development Agency (SWRDA) towards the costs of
building the Centre which had to be repaid over a period of time, that
repayment finished in 2010/11.
