We understand your request to be as follows;
 
1) Could you please provide the number of full-time equivalence (FTE)
staff within your Early Years team for the financial year 2022/23? (Please
include any vacancies in this number)

2) Could you please provide the budget for your Early Years Team for the
financial year 2022/23 including any vacancy cost savings?
 
Your request is being considered as a request under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000. In accordance with statutory requirements, it may
take up to 20 working days for us to consider your request and provide a
formal response. Should this 20 working day deadline need to be extended
you will be notified and kept informed. We will aim to send a response
by 27 March 2023.
 
In some case, a fee may be payable. If we decide a fee is payable, we will
send you a fee notice and we will require you to pay the fee before
proceeding with your request.
 
The Freedom of Information Act 2000 may restrict the release of some or
all of the information you have requested. We will carry out an assessment
and if any exemptions apply to some or all of the information then we
might not provide that information to you. We will inform you if this is
the case and advise you of your rights.
 
We will also advise you if we cannot provide you with the information
requested for any other reason together with the reason(s) why and details
of how you may appeal (if appropriate).

Request for clarification
 
I am writing to ask you to clarify your request. This is because we need
further details from you in order to identify and locate the information.
 
Under section 1(3) of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), a public
authority need not comply with a request unless any further information
reasonably required to locate the information is supplied.
 
In our local authority we have 2 Early Years teams, therefore I should be
grateful if you would specify which you require information on.
 
We have an Early Years delivery team consisting of Early Years Workers and
Children's Centre Coordinators with a manager structure and we have the
Early Years Quality Team which support childcare settings.
 
Once your clarification is received, the Council will begin to process
your request.
 
I will not be able to take this matter further without this extra
information from you. Please, therefore, let me know by 21 March 2023.

If I do not hear from you within the timeframe provided, I shall take it
that you do not wish to pursue this request and will consider the request
closed.
