EA payments to external suppliers (including consultants)

The request was successful.

Rob Millington

Dear Environment Agency,

I am interested in financial expenditure at the Environment Agency. I would like a summary of the amounts paid out by the Environment Agency per annum, per supplier, including expenditure on external consultants.

By way of clarification:

1. I want the information in electronic format.
2. I require only the total paid per supplier.
3. I would like to include any amounts paid as grants as well as for goods and services supplied.
4. I would like the information separately for each of the last three financial years if possible. Otherwise the information for the most recent year available will be acceptable.
6. For each supplier I require the following information - Name, postcode, amount paid.

Yours faithfully,

Rob Millington

Dear Mr Millington

I am able to provide the following information in response to your request
dated 10th June 2010.

The names of and total amount spen td with all suppliers who have been
paid through our purchase order system for the last three financial years.
Because of the way in which hold the data, these lists do not contain
the supplier post code. I can however provide you with a list of our
suppliers and postcode information in a separate file, see attached.

In addition to our Purchase order spend, approximately 10% of our total
expenditure is paid for by with the Government Procurement Card (GPC).
Most transactions are for very small amounts and there
are circa 500,000 transactions each year. We do hold this information,
however extracting and presenting it in the form that you require would be
a major task, which may exceed the time and cost limits set out in the
Act. What I have provided is the details of supplier spend over
£100k using GPC for the last three financial years.

I trust this satisfies your FOI request, if you have any further queries
please come back to me.

Kind regards
