E/34305 Cllr WR Anthony Davies response to 3,100 32tonne/9.1m lorry movements

The request was successful.

Dear Carmarthenshire Council,

I note that Llandybie & Heol Ddu Councillor WR Anthony Davies (Independent) is listed on the Planning Portal as a statutory consultee to application E/34305 (recommencement of dumping of materials at former Abernant Farm landfill site after extensive taxpayer funded remediation and restoration works). No reply is listed, more than seven months have elapsed.

The proposal would adversely affect residents of Heol Ddu, as 3,100 loads of material would be carried by 32 tonne/9.1m long 8 wheel tipper lorries along the very narrow lanes through Heol Ddu to reach the site (lorries exiting through the housing developments along Nant Y Glyn Road in Glanaman). The dumping would continue for many years, operating six days a week.

Please can you provide all information that Carmarthenshire County Council holds in relation to how County Councillor WR Anthony Davies has represented Heol Ddu residents' concerns in relation to planning application E/34305.

Yours faithfully,

D Morris

In response, our Planning Services have received verbal representations from Cllr W R Davies on three occasions regarding the above, however, no recorded information is held regarding this contact. No formal response to the consultation has been received as Cllr Davies has been advised that the application may be withdrawn due to additional works required by Natural Resources Wales.

Yours sincerely
