The request was partially successful.

Dear Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council,

I am writing to make an open government request for all the
information to which I am entitled under the freedom of information
act. In order to assist you with this request, I am outlining my
query as specifically as possible. If however this request is too
wide or too unclear, I would be grateful if you could contact me as
I understand that under the act, you are required to advise and
 assist requesters.

I would really appreciate your assistance in providing the following
information:

1) What is the entry criteria for pupils to the dyslexia units at

a) Widney Junior School b) Langley Senior School.

2) Does the Widney dyslexia unit or Langley dyslexia unit have authority to accept pupils direct into their dyslexia units without referral through the LEA? If so, who has this authority, the Head Teacher and/or the Head of the dyslexia unit?

I note from previous Freedom of Information requests made online that you already have a breakdown of costs as a whole for SEN provision, and presume that the above cost information would therefore be on hand to you, and that the LEA can provide the school dyslexia information.

I understand that under the act, I should be entitled to a response
within 20 working days. I would be grateful if you could confirm in
writing that you have received this request.

Thank you for your assistance and I look
forward to hearing from you soon.

Yours faithfully,
