DWP staff treatment

Max Kerley made this Freedom of Information request to Department for Work and Pensions This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

The request was successful.

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

I recently spoke with an employee of the DWP and they stated that the DWP send out other staff to an employees home to ensure that they are essentially not trying to pull a fast one, yet when it comes to a claimant requesting a home visit, they have to jump through hoops and provide various, correctly worded medical evidence in relation to their claim.

Could you please confirm the DWP's policy on how it engages with staff who call in sick?

Yours faithfully,

Max Kerley
