Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

I am writing to request information in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Specifically, I am seeking disclosure of the current organisation chart for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), inclusive of all its departments and functions.

In accordance with my request, please provide the following details:

Department/Function name
Departmental lead name
Contact email address for the department or group/shared email accounts (as these are publicly owned). I would like to stress that personal email addresses should be redacted or removed to respect the privacy of individuals.
Postal address for the department/function.

From my previous interactions and understanding of the DWP, I believe this information can be easily extracted from the DWP Intranet, available at https://intranet.dwp.gov.uk/.

I appreciate that in some instances you might find that personal data is included in the information I have requested. I would like to emphasize that I am not seeking personal data, and any personal details, especially names and personal email addresses, can be redacted or removed. However, as aforementioned, I would appreciate the inclusion of departmental or group/shared email accounts since they are publicly owned.

I understand that under the Act, you are required to respond to my request within 20 working days of receiving it. If my request is too broad or unclear, I would be grateful if you could contact me as I understand that under the Act, you are required to advise and assist requesters.

If an exemption applies to any of the information I have requested, please advise me which exemption you believe applies, and why. If it is not possible to provide the information requested due to the information exceeding the cost of compliance limits identified in Section 12, please provide advice and assistance, under the Section 16 obligations of the Act, as to how I can refine my request to be included in the scope.

Thank you for your assistance, and I look forward to receiving the information within the 20 working days statutory period.

Yours faithfully,

Ryan Jarvis

Dear Ryan Jarvis,

I am writing in response to your request for information, received 22nd
August.

Yours sincerely,

DWP Central FoI Team

Dear DWP Central Freedom of Information Team,

Thank you for your letter dated 20 September 2023, in response to my Freedom of Information (FoI) request regarding the current organisation chart for the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

To clarify, my primary interest is in obtaining information about the DWP as an overall organisation. However, I understand from your response that certain details are already available in the public domain. I have reviewed the link provided (https://www.data.gov.uk/dataset/dbdf0bef...) and found it helpful.

To further narrow down my request, I would like to focus on the following customer-facing areas:

Universal Credit
PIP (Personal Independence Payment)
Employment and Support Allowance

I appreciate your assistance in providing the relevant department/function names, departmental lead names, contact email addresses for the department or group/shared email accounts (excluding personal email addresses), and postal addresses for the aforementioned areas.

Thank you for your continued cooperation and assistance in this matter. I look forward to receiving the requested information.

Yours faithfully,

Ryan Jarvis
