REQUEST FOR INFORMATION: DWI timescales for completion of work on AMP 4 sites (2005 - 2010)
Thank you for your request for information about DWI timescales for completion of work on AMP4 sites , which we received on 23rd June 2014 . We are handling your request under the Environmental Information Regulations 2004 (EIRs).
The EIRs apply to requests for environmental information, which is a broad category of information defined in regulation 2 of the EIRs. Public authorities are required to handle requests for environmental information under the EIRs. They give similar access rights to the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOIA).
Before we can assist, please can I clarify a few points regarding your request and the information DWI holds.
i) Request for each Anglian AMP4 site the following : Phase 1: Detailed investigations completed to confirm improvements required Phase 2: Planning, design and procurement completed Phase 3: Construction, installation and commissioning completed.
DWI holds the 'statutory instruments' (legal agreements) that relate to AMP4 schemes - a scheme may or may not cover one site. There are occasions when a scheme might cover a number of sites. There are generally a number of key milestones within these documents however they may or may not be the completion dates for each stage you have requested. The stage dates you have requested are dates that exist within the details of the project management between the water company and any contractor involved in the scheme.
ii) Date of issue of completion certificates
DWI holds dates of when DWI released the company from its legal obligations under the statutory instrument. This will frequently (but not always) be a year after the installation of the solution as water companies are required to demonstrate that the benefits the scheme was to designed to bring have been delivered. DWI do not hold dates of issue of the completion certificate for the work, again this is for the project managers within the companies.
Please let me know if, in light of the information above you wish to redefine your request. The 20-working-day timescale for responding to your request will commence from that date.
