The request was successful.

Dear Wirral Metropolitan Borough Council,
Please could you provide me with the answers to these straightforward questions?

1. Apart from not monitoring Wirrals cctv cameras (except in emergencies?) could you please list the other duties the deployed control room operators no longer carry out as before circa 1/4/2014?

2. Since 1/4/2014 how many Emergency Plans have been responded too by control room staff?

3. Please provide me with the approximate number of times control room operators have spent viewing recorded cctv images on the control rooms playback system from 1/4/2014 to present

Yours sincerely

Michael Edwards

Dear InfoMgr, FinDMT,

Thank you for your response, in light of your answer to my first question could Wirral Council state yes or no that the deployed Control Room Operators carry out more than 70% of the previous Emergency Central Control Officers duties within the Emergency Control Room, Cheshire Lines.

Yours sincerely,

Good Afternoon

Wirral Council thanks you for your request, we can confirm in response to
your query as follows;

Yes, we can confirm the current Control Room Operators do not carryout 70%
of the previous Emergency Central Control Officers duties within the
Emergency Control Room, Cheshire Lines. This is entirely as a result of
the removal of the duty to monitor the CCTV on a 24/7 basis, that is what
the previous Emergency Central Control Officers were employed to do.

We trust you find this information of assistance, kind regards

Emergency Control operators were employed to monitor cctv, true statement as one of our many duties was to monitor Wirrals CCTV system but we also monitored council buildings, school alarms 24/7,Community patrol 24/7 which still remains along with out of hours emergencies from 1600 - 0800 weekdays, all day Saturday and Sunday along with key holding and producing CCTV evidential data 24/7.
If the deployed control room operators are carrying out less than 70% of the previous role why are they on the same pay?????
