We would be pleased if you could regard the following as a request made under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

We would like to know the following information
1 The Number of drug-related deaths in your area where the substances identified below which are commonly abused were mentioned on the death certificate. This figure should be provided separately for each substance for deaths registered in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and as a total figure for all the named commonly abused substances as identified below for deaths registered in 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014*.

Substances:

Any Opiate (excluding opiates contained in a paracetamol compound, ie co-codamol, co-dydramol and co-proxamol.)
Heroin and Morphine
Methadone
Tramadol
Codeine
Dihydrocodeine
Other specified opiate
Unspecified opiate
Cocaine
Any amphetamine
Amphetamine
MDMA/Ecstasy
PMA/PMMA
Cannabis/Cannabinoids
New Psychoactive Substances
Benzodiazepines

2 The providers of your substance use treatment and intervention services for each of the years 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014*. This should include all organisations funded directly through Drug Intervention Programme monies, the central public health grant, or other monies specifically managed via your Director of Public Health for the purposes of providing treatment and other interventions for substance misuse.

3 The funding provided through Drug Intervention programme monies, the central public health grant or any other monies specifically managed via your Director of Public Health for the purposes of providing treatment and other interventions for substance misuse for each of the above named providers to deliver substance use treatment and intervention services for each of the years 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014*.

4 Your total spend on substance use treatment and interventions funded directly through Drug Intervention Programme monies, the central public health grant, or other monies specifically managed via your Director of Public Health for the purposes of providing treatment and other interventions for substance misuse for each of the years 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014*.

5 The dates where the contract for the provision of substance use treatment and interventions funded directly through Drug Intervention Programme monies, the central public health grant, or other monies specifically managed via your Director of Public Health for the purposes of providing treatment and other interventions for substance misuse for each of the years 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014* have been formally procured.

6 The numbers in treatment for each of the years 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015*

* Please note we understand that you may collect this data in a different format - ie for the 12 month period between 2 given dates eg April 1st - March 31st of any given year. We would be happy to accept the data for whichever date range is most convenient but would be very grateful if the date range could be clearly identified and if the same date range could be used for the response to all questions.

I refer to your request for information received on 22/04/2016.  Please
see the information below in response to your request: -

 

We would like to know the following information

1  The Number of drug-related deaths in your area where the substances

Substances:

We only hold the number of deaths between 2012 – 2014 as mentioned on the
death certificate:-

2012 – 6 deaths

2013 – 0 deaths

2014 – 2 deaths

 

2  The providers of your substance use treatment and intervention services
for each of the years 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014*. This should include
all organisations funded directly through Drug Intervention Programme
monies, the central public health grant, or other monies specifically
managed via your Director of Public Health for the purposes of providing
treatment and other interventions for substance misuse.

2013 – 2015 (31^ST March 2015) KCA with Blenheim CDP.

2013 – 31^st March 2016 – Dove ward inpatient unit in Crawley for tier 4
detoxification.

2013 to 31^st March 2015 – 74 Foundation counselling service.

 

3  The funding provided through Drug Intervention programme monies, the
central public health grant or any other monies specifically managed via
your Director of Public Health for the purposes of providing treatment and
other interventions for substance misuse for each of the above named
providers to deliver substance use treatment and intervention services for
each of the years 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014*.

2013/14

KCA and Blenheim CDP: £3,282,192

Dove Ward: £468,372

74 Foundation: £60,000

 

2014/15

4  Your total spend on substance use treatment and interventions funded

of providing treatment and other interventions for substance misuse for
each of the years 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014* have been formally
procured.

Formal procurement from April 2014 for the new contract to be in place
1^st April 2015 on a 3 year plus 2 basis for tier 2 and 3 (including CJIS)
and the day programme.

                Tier 4 reprocurement for the 1^st April 2016.
