Dropped Kerb request - Yeovil

The request was refused by South Somerset District Council.

Dear South Somerset District Council,
As a disabled, wheelchair user - I am finding it totally impossible to gain access to Glenville rd Post Office due to a total lack of dropped kerbs - I live in Sunningdale rd and if I want to cross the road at the junction with Rosebery avenue, I am forced to use the nearest dropped kerb (which is over 100 yards back up Sunningdale rd and use the road)- which is NOT good enough - the nearest dropped kerb on Rosebery avenue is by the ONE STOP shop - some 200 yards down the road.
Please could a dropped kerb be installed at the junction between Sunningdale rd and Rosebery avenue to match the existing one outside the post office ?
I could quote all sorts of government set legal requirements (DDA 2010 etc) but this should not really be necessary
Please could this be done ASAP and please confirm a date by which this will be completed

Yours faithfully,

Colin Paterson
