Dear Ms Knight
Information requested under the Freedom of Information Act (FoIA)
Further to your request of 22 June, I can confirm that we have handled
your request for information about statistics regarding the Swindon and
Cheltenham DVA centres, within the terms of the FoIA.
Your request and our response is as follows:
I would be grateful if you would provide statistics to the following
requests in regard to the Swindon and Cheltenham DVA centres:
The percentage of people that pass their car driving test on each day of
the week. For example, on Friday.
The percentage of people that pass their car driving test in each time
slot. For example, at 8.20 am.
Please find our response in the attached Annex A.
Please note that the pass rate by time slot has been grouped by hour as
DVSA have family friendly policies which allow examiners to start tests at
slightly different times during the day and some test start times are
staggered depending on local traffic conditions.
DVSA’s priority is to help you through a lifetime of safe driving.
It’s essential that all drivers demonstrate they have the right skills,
knowledge and attitude to drive safely. The driver testing and training
regime tests candidates’ ability to drive safely and responsibly as well
as making sure they know the theory behind safe driving.
All candidates are assessed to the same level and the result of their test
is entirely dependent on their performance on the day.
If you are unhappy with the way we have handled your request, you can ask
for an internal review by contacting Vasim Choudhary, Public Liaison
Manager, at [1][email address] or at the above address.
Yours sincerely
