Dear Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency,

I have permanent Indian car driving license and provisional UK driving license. I was planning to convert it to UK full driving license but was not able to do so during COVID-19. It is also not possible to get driving practical test due to long waiting times at dvla. As you have provided extensions to other driving licenses in UK, it would be really helpful to provide extension of 1 year (total 24 months instead of 12 months validity) to Indian driving license to continue driving in UK.

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your enquiry received on 10/11/2020.
Your case reference number is 03344713.

We appreciate that you have taken the time to contact us in relation to
this matter.

If you passed your driving test in India, you can drive small vehicles
(Cars/Motorcycles) shown on your licence for up to 12 months from when you
became resident in GB (as long as the driving licence remains valid).

You will have no legal entitlement to drive in GB after the 12 months. We
are unable to extend this timeframe.

The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency have published guidance on GOV.UK
for all those affected by the cancellation of tests. The link is below:
