Dear Kent Police,

For the following courses / driving levels:
• TPAC

• RESPONSE
• BASIC
• Response car covert B + T’s course
• Initial Phase Pursuit training - a breakdown of all courses that cover this
• Check tests for each of the above courses
• Refresher for each of the above courses
• Refresh training for each of the above where previous external training is over 5 years old and the driver is being assessed in order to award a local driver classification.

Can you provide the following information for each course above:
• Cost per officer
• Cost per course
• Duration of course
• Cost per officer to check an external non local driving qualification against the local driving requirements in order for an officer to "claim previous driver training" for each of the above courses.
• Numbers of officers trained in the above courses split by regular and special constables.
• Number of regular officers who have "claimed previous driver training" - from another police force
• Number of special constables who have "claimed previous driver training" - from another police force
• Number of regular officers who have "claimed previous driver training"- from non police driver training provider (for example - Ambulance, Fire or other blue light response)
• Number of special constables officers who have "claimed previous driver training" - from non police driver training provider (for example - Ambulance, Fire or other blue light response)
• For the recognition of previous driver training for each point can you break it down to the original training course and the matched local driving level authorised.

Where an officer has been awarded recognition for “previous driver training” can you advise me of?
• Driver classifications / entitlement codes available to the officer
• Top up courses available to the officer
• Is response non pursuit available as a driving level

Can you provide a copy of the national standards for each of the local driving categories and any internal processes that are followed in order to decide whether previous driver training meets the national standards.
Can you provide copies of any driving policies and or procedures that relate to the above subject.

Yours faithfully,

Michelle Jones
