Under section 25 of the Act, we are not required to provide information in
response to a request if it is already reasonably accessible to you. The
information you requested is available through our publication scheme
which is accessible on our website at

a Guide to Information. As indicated in the Guide to Information you are
required to contact us to receive a copy of the NHS National Services
Scotland Uniform and Appearance Policy. Please find this attached. This
policy was created in response to the CEL (Chief Executive Letter) which
is also attached. This policy is due for review and will be assessed and
updated in line with our policy review schedule over the next few months.
As this was a newly created policy we have no previous policies to
provide.

 

If you are unhappy with any aspect of how we have dealt with your request,

Dear Ms Hunter (NATIONAL SERVICES SCOTLAND),

Thank you very much for your rapid response.

Please, feel free to communicate with the policy makers in Scotland that there was an excess mortality associated with the wearing of religious uniforms in England. Just in one area eight more people committed suicide when social services employed a uniformed nun to work as the social worker in mental health.
