DPIA for Facial Recognition Technology for Prison Visitors

Andrew Hill made this Freedom of Information request to Ministry of Justice

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was partially successful.

Dear Ministry of Justice,

I would be very grateful if you could share with me the Data Protection Impact Assessment, along with any associated documents, etc., for the facial recognition technology utilised in your prisons. Specifically the one referred to in this link - https://www.gov.uk/government/news/facia....

In the event that a Data Protection Impact Assessment (or similar) does not exist for this project, I would be grateful for a copy of any decisions log detailing why a DPIA was not considered necessary.

Yours faithfully,

Andrew Hill
