Doon Academy Statistics
Dear East Ayrshire Council,
Under the Freedom of Information Scotland Act I would like to request some information on Doon Academy.
These questions related to 2018/2019 and 2019/2020 academic years.
1. What is Doon Academy’s core budget and how much of this is used for resources for staff and pupils?
2. How many teachers, classroom assistants, clerical staff and other school staff does the school have?
3. How many teachers are in promoted posts and what posts are these?
3. What percentage of pupils go on to positive destinations from Doon Academy?
4. How many violent occurrences have their been in Doon Academy towards staff and pupils?
5. How many exclusions have there been? How many of these were due to violence?
6. How many complaints have been made to the Education Department regarding teaching or management within Doon Academy?
7. How many staff have worked in Doon Academy for 1 year or less before leaving?
8. How many staff absences have occurred due to work related stress?
9. And finally, how many staff have made complaints/filed grievances towards management?

Admin and Finance Officer - Education Group - 1 fte Admin and Clerical Staff - 3.2 fte Classroom Assistants - 13 fte IT Technician - 1 fte Technical Technician - 0.5 fte Science TechnicianPostholder left March 2020. Post will be advertised Librarian - 1 fter Total Staffing in school 57.1 fte
Please note that 1 Classroom Assistant and 2 unpromoted teachers included in the above are funded from the Scottish Attainment Challenge
