Domestic violence statistics
Hi,
I hope you’re well?
I’m writing to you to request information through the Freedom of Information Act regarding domestic violence in Portsmouth.
I would like to know the number of domestic violence incidents reported in the last 12 months (01/07/2021 to 01/07/2022). This can include reports that were retracted and incomplete.
The term ‘domestic violence’ can include any situation that reported any incident or pattern of incidents of controlling, coercive, threatening behaviour, violence or abuse between those aged 16 or over who are, or have been, intimate partners or family members regardless of gender or sexuality.
I would also like this information to explain the following:
The month in which it was reported
The age and gender of who it was reported by
The outcome of the report
Regards,
Niamh

Dear Naimh
Thank you for your Freedom of Information request asking for information
about domestic violence incidents in the Portsmouth area in the last
twelve months.
Unfortunately the Office of the Police & Crime Commissioner does not hold
or have access to the information you are requesting. This is information
that will be held by Hampshire Constabulary. You can contact them by
sending your request to mailto:[email address] or by
using the following link to their contact form:
[1]https://www.hampshire.police.uk/rqo/requ...
.
I can of course log and respond to your enquiry via our Freedom of
Information process, but the response would be the same and I’d have 20
days in which to answer.
If you would like me to forward your request onto Hampshire Constabulary
on your behalf, I would need your express permission, as the rules of the
General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) prevent me from sending to them
directly without getting your permission first. Please do email back if
you’d like me to forward on your behalf.
Best regards
Kim Salter
