Dear Freedom of Information,
As suggested by yourself, I have contacted the various borough/district councils with the county and it has been mentioned by Daventry borough council, that they do not have the information I am requesting and that Northamptonshire County Council will have the information. Please see https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/d... for confirmation of this.
Somebody within the county will have the information that I am requesting.

Dear Freedom of Information,
In a reponse from you on 19th October 2015, you stated that you do not hold the information I require and have suggested I contact the borough/district councils within the county separately. I have done so.
Wellingborough Council state they do not have this information and that Northamptonshire County Council will do so. Furthermore, both Corby and Daventry Council say the same. My requests to them can be seen at:
Wellingborough Council : https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/d...
Corby Council: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/d...
Daventry Council: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/d...
I therefore ask the following and require this information under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
1) The number of male refuges within the borough/district that are open to male victims of domestic violence/abuse. And the maximum capacity they can take. Listing the number of in each borough/district .
2) The number of women refuges within the borough/district that are open to female victims of domestic violence/abuse. And the maximum capacity they can take. Listing the number of in each borough/district.
3) How much money is spent on men’s refuges within the boroughs/districts
4) How much money is spent on women’s refuges within the boroughs/districts?
5) What policies/protocols does this council have in assisting males and their children fleeing from domestic violence/abuse from their female partners.
6) What policies/protocols does this council have in assisting females and their children fleeing from domestic violence/abuse from their male partners.
I am still waiting for a response from East Northamptonshire District Council and South Northamptonshire District Council. I expect they will say the same as Wellingborough Council, Corby Council and Daventry Council, in that Northamptonshire County Council hold the information.
I look forward to receiving the aforementioned within 20 days
Yours faithfully,

Dear Freedom of Information,
Many thanks for your reply.
As you appear to support females and their children fleeing from domestic abuse only and not males and their children, as shown by the 49 female only refugees, please, for clarification, kindly inform me what Northamptonshire County Council does when it is a male and his children fleeing from domestic abuse. It is clearly evident that they are not put into a refuge within the county as you simply do not have any for men.
Seems somewhat odd that National intelligence demonstrates that the scale & impact of domestic abuse in the UK is extensive and that it is estimated that in a year 7% of women and 5% of men in the UK experienced domestic abuse.
Yours faithfully,
David Darby
