Dear Ms Wilde, Ms Clugston,

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request (our ref 026). Please
find below our response:

I would like to make a request under the Freedom of Information Act for
information relating to your activities with regards to domestic violence.

Could you please tell me:

1.            Do you provide access to an Independent Domestic Abuse
Advisor?

Response: We signpost and can refer to the IDVA

2.            If yes, do you provide access to an IDAA at every hospital
site?

Response: n/a

3.            Do you employ a domestic abuse specialist nurse?

Response: We have secured a bid with the Pathfinder Project for a Domestic
Abuse Coordinator 2/7

4.            If yes, do you employ a domestic abuse specialist nurse at
every hospital site?

Response: The Domestic Abuse Coordinator supports staff Trustwide.

5.            Do you have a Domestic Abuse policy?

Response: Yes

6.            If yes, please provide a copy.

Response: See attached

7.            Do you produce an annual safeguarding report on domestic
abuse?

Response: The annual safeguarding report contains a report on Domestic
abuse

8.            Do you conduct internal audits to ensure compliance to the
domestic abuse policy?

Response: We were due to do this in 2020, however as a result of the
Pandemic this did not take place. We completed a survey with staff to gain
an understanding of what staff needed to support and strengthen their
understanding of Domestic Abuse.

9.            Have you conducted training for staff on domestic abuse in
the last 12 months. If no, in the last 24 months?

Response: Both the Safeguarding Adult and Children training is mandatory
and we include domestic abuse within this. We have however produced a
number of webinars in the last 12 months on Domestic Abuse and have had
external experts in this field support the webinar. A series of four
domestic abuse themed webinars were held during the period to mark the
International Day for Eliminating Violence against Women and Girls in
November 2020. 303 people attended this series of webinars.  The Trust has
a domestic abuse prevention ambassador (DAPA) network which features a
monthly induction training programme and monthly train the trainer
sessions for DAPA’s who want to develop their training skills in regards
to domestic abuse. Since the Domestic Abuse Coordinator begun the role on
24th August 2020, 37 members of staff have been trained on domestic abuse
which formed their induction in taking on the DAPA role and a further
eight DAPA’s have completed the DAPA Train the Trainer training session.
Three DAPA’s have co-delivered on DAPA induction training sessions and a
further five are scheduled to co-deliver future DAPA induction training
sessions. The pandemic has had an impact on staff’s capacity to attend the
available training opportunities. The Domestic Abuse Coordinator notes a
number of cancellations due to the staffing and health consequences of the
pandemic.

10.         How many domestic abuse, stalking and harassment (DASH) risk
assessments were completed by the trust/health board in 2016, 2017, 2018,
2019 and 2020?

Response: We do not currently have a system to capture this information.
We are working with our IT systems to develop this.

11.         How many domestic abuse, stalking and harassment (DASH)
referrals were made by the trust/health board to a Multi-Agency Risk
Assessment Conference in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020?
