FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT REQUEST
I refer to your Freedom of Information request in relation to Domestic
Homicide Reviews.
Right of Access
Section 1(1) of the Act provides any person making a request for
information to a public authority is entitled.
(a) to be informed in writing by the public authority whether it holds
information of the description specified in the request (which Section
1(6) of the Act designates as the "duty to confirm or deny"), and
(b) if that is the case, to have that information communicated to him.
The right is to obtain access to the information itself and not to the
document or record which contains it.
The Act creates a general right of access to information held by public
authorities subject to various exemptions.
Northumberland County Council confirms that it holds the information you

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Northumberland County Council's handling of my FOI request 'Domestic Homicide Reviews'.
I have requested copies or a link to all published DHRS (of which you inform me there are 5). You have responded saying only 1 can be seen due to website updates and given me a link which does not work (www.northumberland.gov.uk/safernorthumberland).
Please can I have the copies of the 5 DHRS carried out , which should be published publicly, either emailed to me or available via your website.

I have checked with our website team and they have confirmed that in the
work they carried out while updating the website that particular page was
moved. They have since added a redirect so that the link now takes you to
where that page is now situated. The document in question does not appear
to be available on that page so I have a member of that team
investigating.
In the meantime I will process your request for an internal review as
having been received today and will follow it up with a formal
acknowledgement.

You queried the response that we issued to you on 7 December. We provided
you with an outdated website link which didn't contain the information you
requested.
I have previously emailed you and confirmed that we have put a redirect on
the website link to go to the Safer Northumberland page. I can also
confirm that the documents in question were not transferred across when we
updated our website. I have obtained them from the service area and
attached them to this email. Please find attached documents relating to
all five cases.
On your email of 7 December 2018 you requested that we undertake an
internal review, could you please confirm whether you would still like us
to proceed. I would be grateful if you could let me know either way.
