Please provide a breakdown for the last five years on a month by month basis, of dog thefts across the force area.

Dear Ms MacAllister

 

I write regarding your Freedom of Information Request to Devon & Cornwall
Police:

 

Please provide a breakdown for the last five years on a month by month
basis,  of dog thefts across the force area.

 

Devon & Cornwall Police have recently received a lot of requests on this
subject.

 

As such we have produce a comprehensive response covering all dog thefts
from 2016 to 2020– see link below:

Whilst there isn’t a monthly breakdown it does contain a lot of additional
information such as breeds, numbers recovered and outcomes

 

There was a rise in offences in 2020 but they are not at the levels of
2017
