Dog Control Order not posted on your website for Churchfield Meadows

The request was successful.

Dear Elmbridge Borough Council,

Churchfield Meadows has a sign which prohibits dogs from that park

I have noticed that online
https://www.elmbridge.gov.uk/dog-control...

You do not mention in the table Churchfields Meadows as having any kind of dog control order

Does it have an order, can evidence be provided, and will this be amended on the link provided if the information is incorrect?

Yours faithfully,
CMorgan

Ian Gayton, Elmbridge Borough Council

Dear Mr Morgan,

I apologise for the delay in response to your FOI No. 683. Unfortunately,
your request slipped through our system at a time of staff shortages when
two key Green Spaces staff departed the Council.  Either one of these
staff would have normally replied to your FOI request.

I can explain that there is no dog control order in place at Churchfields
Meadows. At the time of designing Churchfields Meadows, it was agreed to
prohibit dogs from this site following local public consultation that the
site would be a dog free site.

Therefore, dog control orders are not relevant or applicable, where dogs
are not permitted within a site. This is one of only two dog free green
space sites owned and managed by Elmbridge B.C.

I hope this clarifies the position.

Regards,

Ian Gayton

Green Spaces Manager
