Dog Breeding Licenses - On Record and Issued

Jade Slocombe made this Freedom of Information request to East Devon District Council Automatic anti-spam measures are in place for this older request. Please let us know if a further response is expected or if you are having trouble responding.

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, East Devon District Council should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear East Devon District Council,

1. Regarding both newly issued or renewed dog breeding licences, and those already on record, please provide the information held/denoted on each licence (with any personal information redacted or absent). Licences should include "Use, number, and type" of animal, with "breeding bitches, stud dogs, litters on site, other dogs that are not in scope including pets, retired dogs and those that are under breeding age", the "Star Rating" awarded, and any licence conditions. Please provide this for each instance of a licence - i.e. where a licence is updated or renewed please include all versions if possible - from the most recent data to, ideally, 2010 or 2005 if the information is accessible and in a manageable format.

2. Please provide the information relating to the inspections carried out (as per https://www.gov.uk/government/publicatio...), such as dates and any available, publishable notes for each licence issued. Ideally, this includes the inspection prior to issuing any licence.

If these are not managed by your authority, please direct me to the appropriate one. Devon District Council states on the website that these licences are managed by District Councils/Unitary Authorities.

Yours faithfully,

Jade Slocombe

Dear FOI EDDC,

Thank you for the information you have already provided, I appreciate the prompt response. Apologies that my own reply has been delayed. What has been provided thus far is indeed helpful.

I look forward to, hopefully, receiving the rest of the information once it becomes available. I appreciate that sometimes systems for record keeping don't necessarily make publishing information straightforward.

Thank you again for the files you have provided in response to point 1.

Yours sincerely,

Jade Slocombe
