Dear Mr Senior

RE: 18751 - Ownership of land between 260 and 268 Halifax Road, Liversedge

I am writing in response to your request dated 4 December 2018. This has been dealt with under the Environmental Information Regulations 2004.

You asked for the following information:

can you please confirm if you are the registered owner of a small parcel of land lying between the properties of 260 and 268 halifax road, Liversedge and if you are please provide the title deeds which outlines the boundary.

I have already contacted the Land registry and they hold no records on this parcel of land.

The Council's response is set out below:

Kirklees Council is not the registered owner of the land in question. Various investigations have taken place regarding the land as the former properties were demolished under a “clearance order” – there was no need for the Council to acquire them. Agreement was given to demolish the properties, due to the fact they were deemed to be unsafe, but the land still remains with the property owner.

If you are not content with the handling of your request, you have the right to ask for an internal review. Requests for internal reviews should be submitted within 40 working days of the date of receipt of the response to your original request and should be addressed to the Monitoring Officer, 1st Floor, Civic Centre 3, Market Street, Huddersfield HD1 2EY.
