request, apologies for the delay:

Please could you send all documents pertaining to racial equality in
hiring and employment practices at the Council since 2005. I would

- The 2006 report written by Council staff member, Ododo Dafe entitled
"Perceptions of black and minority ethnic staff: A report of research

2013 report

- a list of all actions made by the Council in reaction  to the 2006
Report and the 2013 Report

We are attaching the documents that we hold in relation to your request.
Given the length of time that has elapsed since the 2006 report was
written, we do not hold a definitive list of the actions taken in response
to it by the council . However, we have been able to establish that a
number of initiatives were undertaken to increase the diversity of the
council’s workforce and improve the experiences of BME staff within the
workplace. These included developing and running a diversity recruitment
campaign, mandatory equality and diversity training for managers, outreach
work with local communities to build links, raise the profile of the
council as an employer and encourage members of BME communities to apply
for council jobs.

Following the Global HPO report, the council developed a 3 year Workforce
Equalities Action Plan which was approved by councillors in July 2013.
Details of the work carried out since 2013 can be found on the council’s
website. To make it easier for you to locate this information, we  are
