Documentation relating to Temporary Closure orders for footpath No 9 Charmouth & Footpath No 51 Stanton St Gabriel since 17th October 2014.
Dear Department for Transport,
This footpath is a single footpath which passes through two Parishes, hence the two names. Please supply all documentation and correspondence regarding the Temporary Closure Orders which have been applied to this path and approved by the Department for Transport since 17th October 2014. In particular the reasons for granting the extensions and the reasons that have been provided by Dorset County Council for the extended closure and the actions they have taken and propose to take to resolve the problems with this path.
Yours faithfully,
Jonathan Combe

Dear Department for Transport,
Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.
I am writing to request an internal review of Department for Transport's handling of my FOI request 'Documentation relating to Temporary Closure orders for footpath No 9 Charmouth & Footpath No 51 Stanton St Gabriel since 17th October 2014.'.
Some of the information has been witheld and I wish for this to be reviewed. I do not believe the reasons for a footpath being closed, the actions taken to date and the proposed action can be considered commercially sensitive. In particular what action has already been taken is in the past so I fail to see how that can be considered sensitive.
As you will be aware I complained about this footpath closure being granted on the basis the reason supplied by Dorset County Council was not true. This is confirmed in the information that has been released. Given that this extension was therefore originally granted on the basis of incorrect information it seems very conveniant that the reason now given for granting this extension has not been released. Given one reason has already been proven to be false I find it hard to believe you can refuse to provide the new reason on the grounds it is commercially sensitive. I suspect this is more about preventing any further scrutiny of the reasons for this extension being granted. I therefore wish for this decision to be reviewed.
A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/d...
