Dear British Waterways Board,

I am writing to request information from you under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act.

Please send me all and any documentation you hold relating to the area of water known as Sparth Reservoir, near Marsden, West Yorkshire (close to locks 32E and 33E on the Huddersfield Narrow Canal).

I would like copies of the following documents specifically; but my interest is not limited only to these, so please also supply any other relevant documents that you hold.

1) Historic deed map/plan of Sparth reservoir and the section of canal between locks 31E and 35E.
2) Ownership deeds, land registry entries, transfers of property and/or any other documentation which establishes the current ownership, leaseholds and/or tenancy of Sparth reservoir.
3) Current tenancy agreements, leases and/or other contracts between British Waterways (BW) and organisations using Sparth Reservoir, including specifically but not only any contracts between BW and (a) Huddersfield Amateur Swimming Club, (b) The Scouts Association, (c) Kirklees Council and (d) any other swimming club or association.
4) Any past tenancy agreements, leases and/or contracts between BW and Huddersfield Amateur Swimming Club or any other swimming club or association, from 1900 to the present date.
5) Any documentation relating to building work at Sparth reservoir between 1930 and the current date.
6) Any correspondence, whether originally in paper or electronic form, including internal and external communications, which relates to Sparth Reservoir and which was sent or received by British Waterways during 2011.

Dear Ms Weir,

Further to your request for information and my acknowledgement of 30th September please find attached the documents that you have requested.

Namely I have attached:

1) Licence to Swim in Sparth Reservoir - Huddersfield Amateur Swimming Club
2) Angling Licence for HNC and Sparth
3) Copy of our registered title
4) Copies of our historic Terrier showing the canal between Lock 31 and 35
5) Copies of correspondence regarding the reservoir
