Dear E Thomas,

Freedom of Information Act 2000 (FOI) – Request for Information:

according to gender and any measures introduced to remedy and
discrepancies.’

In response to your request I can provide the following:

5 Directors 1 4 Withheld £99,058 Withheld £5,405

In respect of Pay Grade 5, only one female is employed. Following careful
consideration and in view of the fact that disclosure of an average figure
would be to disclose and individual salary, Finance Wales considers such
personal information to be exempt from release under section 40(2) of the
Freedom of Information Act 2000. Section 40(2) provides that ‘If the
personal data is about someone other than the applicant, there is an
exemption if disclosure would breach any of the Data Protection
Principles’. In this case, the information is such that in our view, its
release would breach the Data Protection Principles. This is an absolute
exemption.

I can also advise that no pay reviews specifically considering gender have
been carried out by Finance Wales.

Your request has been considered according to the Freedom of Information
Act 2000 and principles set out in the National Assembly for Wales Code of
Practice on Public Access to Information. The Code is published [1]here.

Dear Ms. Downes,

I made an FoI earlier in the year in relation to Dobson & Crowther Ltd and eventually received a reply from you.

However today I received a further notification which is addressed to an "E. Thomas" containing information in relation to various salary grades! I assume this was sent to me in error, but no doubt you will investigate how this came about since it is a serious breach of the Data Protection Laws!

Yours sincerely,

Michael W. Edwards

Beverley Downes,

Dear Mr Edwards,

Thank you for your email. The information you received in error was in
response to another Freedom of Information Request submitted via the 'What
Do They Know' portal and as such was published anonymised data.

With apologies for the inconvenience,

Yours sincerely,
