Dear East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust,

I would like to know if you accept and recognise the First Response Emergency Care pathway. In particular I would like to know if you recognise the First Response Urgent and Emergency Care Level 5 as a Technician level qualification. If so, do you allow private providers (such as Elite EMS, Central Medical Services etc) to employ people with FRUEC Level 5 on their frontline contracts with EMAS as Technicians and practice as Technicians/at Technician level.

If so, please provide support documentation that this is an approved Technician qualification that you accept for private provider staff.
