Do you receive funds for closing a road and creating a "Quietway"?
Dear Buckinghamshire Council,
Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000 I request the following information from Buckinghamshire Council.
Please may you provide me with:
1. Does Buckinghamshire Council receive any funds and/or monetary incentives for closing local roads and/or creating "quietways"?
2. Who are these funds received from?
3. Under what initiative are roads being closed and "quietways" installed?
4. How many road closures/quietways has Buckinghamshire Council agreed to create under this initiative?
5. How are the road closures and/or quietways identified for implementation?
6. Who is providing the planters and signage to facilitate the road closures and/or quietways?
7. Has the provider of these planters and signage been subjected to a public tender process? If the answer is yes, please provide evidence.
Yours faithfully,
