Dear Department for Work and Pensions,
I have a very simple question.
Are the DWP refunded for assessments conducted by any Assessment Providers (namely Capita, Independent Assessment Services and Maximus, amongst others) after a decision is overturned by any of the Tribunal chambers in relation to Personal Independence Payment; Employment and Support Allowance or Universal Credit?
If yes, then how much funds were received in the last financial year due to refunds from assessments conducted by third party contractors compared to how many decisions were overturned in relation to Personal Independence Payment; Employment and Support Allowance or Universal Credit?
If no then why is it not common practice to request refunds from assessment providers and how much would have been recouped approximately either per assessment or overall had any refunds been processed or activated by the DWP in relation to cases which were overturned at any Tribunal stage in the last financial year?
