DNS and Enhanced criminal records checks -Councillors

Gwen Swinburn made this Freedom of Information request to City of York Council This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

The request was successful.

Dear City of York Council,

Please can you supply the current schedule of Councillors required to have basic and enhanced DBS checks in view if this recent advice /direction.

https://www.gov.uk/government/publicatio...

I know that Councillors in the past members have requested these but shockingly kicked back by Monitoring Officers.

In view of this can you provide a list of positions/ Cttee and board representatives that would require advanced DBS checks. Can you confirm when such checks would be required ahead if any committee appointments etc?

Yours faithfully,

Gwen Swinburn
