DLA Information

Department for Work and Pensions did not have the information requested.

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

Ian Duncan Smith. states in the Telegraph.
'DLA, which of itself is a payment to support housing costs'

Please clarify that this is the DWP policy?

DLA is awarded for care and mobility costs.
NOT for housing costs??

Nowhere on a DLA award, does it state that a percentage of DLA is for housing costs??

Yours faithfully,

Debbie Price

Dear DWP Strategy Freedom of Information,

How does that answer my original question?? It does NOT. IDS stated DLA is to meet housing costs. As in, to pay the 'BEDROOM TAX'.
Disabled people are being refused DHP's because they are being told by their councils that they can pay from their DLA.
This is NOT what DLA is awarded for. IS IT???

That is what you need to answer.

WHY are Disabled people being penalised in this way??

Yours sincerely,

debbie

Dear DWP Strategy Freedom of Information,

Hi Debbie

maybe you need to ask them if the policy is DLA/PIP is to be used to pay rent?
I know this may seem pedantic but it might clarify the situation?
