Thank you for your enquiry concerning speed restrictions on the M1

have requested is information we make available to the public on a regular
basis. Your request has been handled under normal business practices and

According to our records the speed limit was set at 14:49:50 to 50mph this

place until 15:45:31 when the speed limit changed to national speed limit
(70mph).

You also asked for the distance between the M1 Junction 25 southbound slip
road exit to the motorway and the first southbound variable speed camera
gantry. The speed enforcement team do not have access to this information.
I have passed this on to the relevant team to contact you with an answer

Dear Highways England Company Limited,

reference 21772369
Part of the response from the West Midlands team was that in response to my request for distance information they replied "You also asked for the distance between the M1 Junction 25 southbound slip
road exit to the motorway and the first southbound variable speed camera
gantry. The speed enforcement team do not have access to this information.
I have passed this on to the relevant team to contact you with an answer
to your query."
I have not had any further reply from the "relevant team" and my understanding is that a response is required.
I await your response.

Yours faithfully,

Richard Heathcote
