Disposal of Land at Bruce Avenue - Plan Request

(as amended by the Local Government Planning and Land Act 1980 Section 118, Schedule 23 Part V)
NOTICE is hereby given for the purposes of Section 123 (2a) of the Local Government Act 1972 that The Borough Council of Worthing proposes to dispose of land at Bruce Avenue adjacent to West Park Recreation Ground under title number WSX292994.

With regards to the above Notice, as advertised in the Worthing Herald 8th September 2022, I would be grateful if you could provide me with a copy of the plan which shows the area of land affected.

I did contact the Council's customer services section regarding this matter but unfortunately they did not seem to understand the request.

NOTICE is hereby given for the purposes of Section 123 (2a) of the Local
Government Act 1972 that The Borough Council of Worthing proposes to
dispose of land at Bruce Avenue adjacent to West Park Recreation Ground
under title number WSX292994.

With regards to the above Notice, as advertised in the Worthing Herald 8th
September 2022, I would be grateful if you could provide me with a copy of
the plan which shows the area of land affected. 

Response:
Under section 123(2A) a principle council may not dispose of land
consisting or forming part of an open space unless before disposing of the
land they cause notice of their intention to do so, specifying the land in
question, to be advertised in two consecutive weeks in a newspaper. 

The Notice in the Worthing Herald on 31st August states that a plan
showing the land concerned may be inspected at the offices of the Council
at Portland House 44 Richmond Road Worthing West Sussex BN11 1HS between
9.00am and 5.00pm Monday to Thursday and between 9.00am and 4.00pm on
Friday (public holidays excepted).

Therefore the document is available at the Town Hall. However, if this is
not accessible to you a copy of the plan can be provided.

We hope this is sufficient for your purposes.
 

Review procedure
If you are not satisfied with the response to your request for information
you have the right to an internal review. Details can be found on
[2]www.adur-worthing.gov.uk/foi

Your request for internal review should be submitted to us within three
(3) months of receipt by you of this response. Any such request received
after this time will only be considered at the discretion of the Council.

If having exhausted the review process you are not content that your
request or review has been dealt with correctly, you have a further right
to appeal to the Information commissioner’s Office (ICO), details of which
