I am responding to your request under the Freedom of Information Act 2000,
which we received on 28 August 2009 for information held by the Council.
You requested the following information:

Please supply full details of all councils assets sold in the last 9 years
ie from 2000 to 2009 inclusive where the proceeds exceeded £100,000.Such
information to include but not limited to a. date of sale b.details of
asset sold c.proceeds received. d.purchaser e.use of funds receive.

Please see attached. A proportion of capital receipts from the sale of
housing assets (50% to 75% depending on the asset being sold) have to be
set aside towards repayment of debt (until 2004) or paid over to Central
Government (DCLG) (since 2004). The balance is used to fund expenditure in
the Council's capital programme. Capital receipts cannot be used to fund
revenue expenditure.
