Dismissal of staff on Harvest ward

The request was refused by Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

Dear Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust,
In respect of the unfair dismissal of RMN Sharon Little, HCA Tim Spear and Martin Smith on Harvest Ward in Cornwall Partnership Foundation Trust (Feb 2012) and subsequent legal ruling at an employment tribunal that led to judge Nicholas Roper stating that all of these staff were unfairly dismissed, I would like to know the following-

1.How much did the public tax payer have to pay out whilst these staff were under suspension?
2.What formal training and expertise did the original investigation panel within Cornwall Partnership possess in relation to having the required competencies to manage such a complex case?
3.Following the Tribunal ruling what form of apology did the 3 nurses receive from the Trust and how much compensation (if any) was afforded for their unfair dismissal?
5. Why did the senior executive Sharon Linter continue to believe that the dismissal of these staff members was fair and appropriate even despite the legal ruling?

Yours faithfully,
Dexter Jones

Dear Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust's handling of my FOI request 'Dismissal of staff on Harvest ward'
The request relates to a case that is already in the public domain and has been widely reported in the local media, therefore the reason given for non disclosure is frankly a poor one I.e., unable to disclose based on the release of personal information. Secondly, the tax payer has had to pick up the bill for paying these staff whilst subject to suspension, therefore the public surely have a right to know how much money has been spent. You have also declined to answer my other questions based on your apparent personal belief that I am interested in opinions? Just to clarify my position, I am only interested in the nature of facts.and on that basis would expect a professional response. I would urge you to re read the request carefully. In the interest of Public interest, these cases require open and transparent responses.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/d...

Yours faithfully,

Dexter Jones

Dear Ms Slavin,
Once again the Trust declines an opportunity to be open, honest and transparent in its business decisions and uses the opt out clauses cited in Foi law. As this case is already in the public domain and has been well covered in the local tabloids I am only interested in information related to the facts as they appear on record. Its a shame you appear to have missed my main points and yet another good opportunity to enhance public faith and confidence has been squandered.
Is this yet a further example of the corrupt institutional culture that seems to exist in our NHS Trusts. Sad days indeed.

Yours sincerely,

Dexter Jones
