Dear Mr Snook

Re: Reservoir at the Bayfield Site in Chepstow

I refer to your request for information under the Environmental
Information Regulations 2004 (“the regulations”), received by us on 12
February 2019 which reads as follows:

‘Has there been any discussion about the easement in regards to the
reservoir at the Bayfield site in Chepstow’

I can confirm that Dwr Cymru Welsh Water does hold the information of the
type you have requested as follows/attached:

We have recently responded to a planning consultation for proposed
development of 200 dwellings at ‘Land off Bayfields Chepstow’. As part of
our response we made the Local Authority and the Applicant aware that the
site is crossed by water supply assets which may affect the development
proposals. We provided the Applicant with ‘Conditions for development near
water main’ and a copy of this advice is provided to you for information.

As noted there is a service reservoir to the North East of the development
site. This asset has water mains entering/exiting the asset and we are
currently reviewing the protection zones/requirements for these assets and
have informed the local planning authority of this. We have requested that
the planning application is not determined until we have completed our
review and provided an updated consultation response. We will also provide
you with a copy of our updated response once it has been issued to the
Local Authority.

I hope that this response is clear. Should you have any questions, please
contact us by email [1][email address] or telephone us on
0800 917 2652

If you are dissatisfied with the handling of your request, you have the
right to ask for an internal review. Internal review requests should be
submitted within 40 working days of the date of receipt of this response
and should be addressed to General Counsel and Company Secretary, Heol
Pentwyn, Nelson, Treharris, Mid Glamorgan, CF46 6LY.

Yours faithfully
